Therefore, the brand was not intended to be just a product, the vehicle, but also to represent the transformation and electrification of entire fleets with a range of vehicles that cover all needs.
Rewiring B2B mobility

QEV Technologies has forged its expertise in electric automotive since day one. With all their accumulated knowledge in competition, these specialists were ready to launch a brand of electric vehicles for fleets covering all road logistics needs. Their plan also included one of the most ambitious reindustrialization initiatives in the Barcelona area.
The new QEV Technologies brand needed to be flexible enough to encompass eight different vehicles that fulfill specific roles from the first to the last mile.
Zeroid may be just a word, but it is the result of an exhaustive exploration process to find it. If QEV Technologies was characterized until now by engineering for high competition, finding a naming that would combine simplicity, innovation and registration feasibility in such a competitive and global market required true verbal engineering.
We compiled technical, scientific and mythological concepts that could inspire a name.
We reworked them for brevity and comprehensibility in a global marketplace.
Finally, we performed an in-depth legal screening, assessing the risk of each option.
the "zero emissions"
As a name, Zeroid shatters the conventions of an industry with names that require background or prior knowledge of electricity or its pioneers and that appear to be aimed at engineers. Zeroid goes a step further with an obvious meaning: the number zero, for the zero emissions achieved by an electric motor.
Zeroid goes a step further with an obvious meaning: the number zero, for the zero emissions achieved by an electric motor. To this concept, so resounding in itself, we add the ending -id to link it with technology and fluidity, since it is precisely the electrification of B2B fleets that will lead to significant operational improvements if performed with an end-to-end partner like Zeroid.
Inspired by the curves of vehicle charger cable, Zeroid's Z creates a unique and distinctive gesture, bringing more friendly and digital codes to automotive branding. These typographic gestures inspire an entire family – the Zeroid Sans – created in collaboration with Pedro Arilla, which is a key asset of the new brand.
In the same vein, the E in the brand is also reinterpreted as three bars symbolizing the battery charge of an electric vehicle. Finally, the electric blue connects with the parent brand and conveys reliability and endurance, a key driver for commercial vehicles.
