Originally from Segovia, DYC has been making top quality whiskies since 1959, characterized by a unique and nuanced flavour achieved through extensive experience, passion and a meticulous distillation process.
This exclusive collection is composed of a series of handcrafted whiskies, which fuse the character of this Segovian distillery and the founder of the house, Nicomedes García. The Master Distillers collection, which began with DYC 12 and its twelve years of aging, has already received recognition from the sector through prestigious awards. It was time to make DYC Doble Roble part of it.
Challenge
A genuinely
committed single malt
DYC Double Oak is a single malt with double aging in selected oak casks. The challenge was to highlight the woody flavour of the whisky and the brand's commitment to sustainability.
Solution
A woody
pleasure
We gave oak a presence through wood-inspired packaging.
We projected the oak bark on the silkscreen print that wraps around the DYC Double Oak bottle.
A design
that distills
sustainability
DYC Doble Roble underlines DYC's commitment to using local raw materials such as grains from Castilla.
To reinforce the brand's environmental commitment, the DYC Doble Roble production process contributes to the reforestation of 1,000 oak trees in Spain and the barrels used in its aging are recycled to create the bottle's cork.
